🩸 The Bayou Ledger: Hunt: Showdown 1896 stats tracker

I built and run the 🩸 Bayou Ledger, a free stats tracker for Hunt: Showdown 1896: it follows your MMR and matches, keeps their history and puts you on leaderboards next to more than 41,000 other hunters.

How it works

  • Sign in with Steam. The sign-in happens on Steam’s own site, so your password stays with Steam. All the Ledger gets back is your Steam ID, which is public anyway
  • Nothing runs on your PC. No program, no mod, nothing near the game client
  • It keeps up while you play. While you are in matches your profile is checked every few minutes; once you stop, the checks slow down. For that your Steam profile has to be public and Steam has to show you playing Hunt

The Ledger is fully server-side - nothing to install.

What’s inside

A quick map before the details: the Roster ranks the community, the Dossier is one hunter’s full page, Match history holds your own games, and Pulse shows the game at a glance - with a watchlist, party search, streaming tools and personal goals around them.

Roster

The front page and the leaderboard. It has three views: Hunt, Quick Play and Online (streamers on the Ledger who are live with Hunt right now). Any board can be cut to a season, so a hunter who started last month can still top it, and every rank shows how it moved in the last 24 hours. The all-time board takes 1,000 lifetime kills and a match in the last month; Quick Play boards are seasonal and ranked by wins.

Dossier

Every tracked hunter’s page, yours included. It opens with your in-game profile card - avatar, frame, title and badges - and the header boxes you choose to show. Then everything else:

  • MMR and Clash MMR, with stars from the game’s real cutoffs
  • KD, KDA, kills, deaths, bounty and the rest, all of it filterable by season
  • Charts of how they moved, and a day-by-day activity chart
  • Your play sessions, each named by how it went - from Rich to Butchered
  • A playstyle: one of 80 archetypes worked out from how you play. Just for fun

Match history

The newest part, and off until you switch it on. Tick Collect my match history and the Ledger rebuilds your sessions into separate matches: the hunter you took, the loadout with ammo, gear and traits, what it all cost, the mode, how it ended and who was in your party.

A match with its loadout open

Pick rates then show what you actually take: weapons, tools, traits and consumables, each with your KDA and survival. It works both ways - collect your own matches and other hunters’ rosters and pick rates open to you too. Point at any item and it opens in the Bayou Index, our sister site with the game’s items in exact numbers.

Watchlist, Pulse, Party Finder and Goals

Watchlist. Your own leaderboard. Add friends, rivals or your favourite streamers and the same boards, season filter included, show only them, with a log of who played and a bounty heatmap.

Pulse. The community at a glance: bounties collected, a heatmap of the busiest days, the MMR spread with the star boundaries drawn in, matches recorded per mode, a live feed of extracts and the month’s highlights.

Party Finder. List yourself with your language, region, mode, play times, mic and how to reach you, and filter for hunters near your MMR. Requests are approved or turned down, and a listing lapses on its own once you stop playing or stop coming by.

Goals. Pick one target - MMR, Clash MMR, KDA, KD, kills, wipes or bounty - and your dossier tracks progress, pace and the date you will get there. It comes with every paid plan and can sit on the overlay too, so chat can watch.

For streamers

An OBS overlay with your live session - MMR change, KDA and the rest, in six typefaces, six colour schemes and three layouts. See it running on the example page. It comes with the Overlay and Legend plans, and there is a free 5-day demo with no card. Streamers and video makers can get it free through the creator program.

Free and paid

The tracker is free, and so is nearly everything above: the Roster, your dossier with your whole history, match history, Pulse, Party Finder, Linked Roles, and a watchlist of 5 with a month of history on other hunters.

Paid plans keep the servers running and add more: a bigger watchlist, longer and then all-time history on other hunters, goals, a custom profile link, a bio, faster updates, the overlay and the Discord bot, depending on the plan. The plans are on the upgrade page.

Privacy

The tracker before this one went away over privacy, so the Ledger leans hard the other way:

  • You are tracked only if you sign in.
  • Hunt’s own “hide my stats” setting is respected. With it on, nothing is collected for you
  • Hide as much as you like: take yourself off the leaderboards, keep your match history private, stay off other hunters’ teammate lists, or make the whole profile private. You always see your own stats
  • Match history is off by default. Nothing is recorded until you switch it on
  • Delete everything on your account page wipes every stat stored about you in one press

Can I get banned for this?

No. The Ledger never touches your game or your account: you install nothing, and it reads the same stats anyone can see in the game after a match. It is not an official Crytek site and is not affiliated with Crytek. If you are on the Crytek team, I would welcome a conversation.

Where to find it

Conclusion

Thanks for reading - and see you in the bayou.
